Heritage High School students gained valuable marketing experience working on a promotional campaign for a 9Health Fair event. Jeri Lawrence, 9Health Fair’s Medical Coordinator, reached out to Heritage with an opportunity for students to get involved with a “hands-on” marketing campaign to help promote an annual screening event. Students in Mrs. Bolen’s marketing class at Heritage created a promotional flyer, contacted potential locations to promote the 9Health Fair and volunteered at the April 22nd event at Porter Adventist Hospital. Marketing student Tanner Steiert said, “You hear about it, but it is nice to see how it all works.” After spending weeks working on the promotional campaign, the experience also gave students the opportunity to see the event in its entirety and to witness the value of health screenings.
