The College Board’s NHRP was created to recognize exceptional Hispanic/Latino high school students. From of pool of more than 250,000, the program annually recognizes 5,000 students. NMSC and NHRP both use PSAT/NMSQT test scores as key criteria in the selection process. Scholarship recipients will be announced throughout the spring.

“Being selected as part of such an elite academic group says volumes about these students and their families. We couldn’t be more proud of their accomplishments,” said Superintendent Scott Murphy. “It also says a lot about our teachers and school communities. We have a large number of students who perform academically at this level each year.” Superintendent Murphy and the LPS Board of Education will recognize these students at the regularly scheduled Board Meeting on April 9, 2015.
